The Truth Behind Steemit - Invest & Win! (rich only)

I and a few other writers joined Steemit because
we were asked, BEGGED, to do so, to lift the platform. We wrote on other platforms and to be honest, the payment was and still is better, not in cryptocurrency but in euro. No difficulties if it comes to getting paid, the struggle to find a way to exchange Steem for euro. Not that I did that for the first years since the options were limited plus I gave it away to other Steemians by sponsoring contests and hosting them.
Did this, me being social on Steemit, bring me anything? The answer is no. The average Steemian is here for the quick post, the fast earning and does not even read comments let alone respond if mentioned in a good article.
Steemit 2024 did not change
from the moment they started. Perhaps it is a good sign since after the hard fork (break up) the best (content) writers left. I can't blame them since they did a lot for this platform, inspired and kept inspiring others. They published books together but most of them were never rewarded like @mariannewest who started the @freewritehouse and inspired, with a few others, hundreds of Steemians to write daily with a prompt.
Stories were written together, NaNoWriMo was a great event and the good freewrites were weekly announced and rewarded and of course, there was #pic1000. The Freewritehouse did its stinking best to help people if it comes to writing good content, fighting writer's block and creative writing. Content rarely rewarded and by now the tags are abused by people who have no clue what the word means. Steemit lost its creativity.

If it was for the money I could better stay away from Steemit and invest my time in other platforms, places where good writers and good, entertaining reads can be found including the needed inspiration and advice. Hello, Steemit writers have their own platforms and the chance to earn $250 at Reedsy is bigger than receiving $10 for a story on Steemit. Steemit is not the place to be if it comes to your support. You make it too obvious that you do not care at all about quality posts.
By now we all know the average user is not interested in writing and does not understand English well enough. It can the education is too low to understand the translation, besides the fact most do not have 15 hours a day to invest on Steemit and dislike reading. We can pretend we all love to write and read but even a blind horse can see that it's not true.
Fact: One of the 'best' commenters, noise makers, of last week, sent the same 'long' comment to several people, others simply copy-paste a part of the writer's text. They have no clue what they read, the comments rarely make sense. The worst is they don't recognize you and do exactly the same after apologizing.
I notice a clear trend in what kind of content is rewarded which should make any alert observer wonder why. What is the reason bad content is rewarded? How can it be communities nominate own content for a booster and Steem Curators (SC) do the same if it comes to upvoting their closest friends/moderators?
What puzzles me too is the other part of the Steemit platform, that part we do not take part in. How can it be they do nothing of what we are told to do and are successful (read earn a lot) with one picture only and a few lines? Indeed I see the same type of content be rewarded by SC even if the same sentence is repeated over three times.
I am not running an online business and if would not use Steemit for it. There's nothing I can think of I could sell/offer worldwide plus, and this is the most negative of all, posts on Steemit can not be found on the World Wide Web at all or only for a few days. This means my Steemit enterprise is limited and has to thrive on Steemians who cannot read me, are not interested in reading, are sloppy if it comes to commenting/answering plus they have nothing to spend which does not sound like a healthy business environment to me.
After all these years the use of hashtags hasn't improved. They are not used for the purpose they are meant for which is making it easy for readers to find content of a certain topic!
After the hard fork Steemit-content is rarely found on the World Wide Web. It makes me wonder why promoting on X, FB, Telegram and so on since all those links posted will not be found easily either and it takes a lot of extra time.
Steemit is not the place to be if you are a writer
since what a writer wants most is to be read, to know, hear s/he is read. A writer puts his soul into the written word, it's not just a quick post with blah blah blah blah. The writer will not invest time in promoting himself but he reads and comments, comments which can be longer than a post but remain unrewarded and frequently are answered with 'thanks', 'ok' or... not at all.
Steemit is not the place to start a business
it lacks the right environment and the privacy of a chat (a chaotic chat like Discord is not what a business should use since it's not professional). Steemit does not offer a business site either or certain options required. The only succesful 'businesses' are likely the Steem-Aid-Funds (aid and good business rarely go hand in hand) next to the SBD-laundering and active scam-/farm-hacking-one-man businesses.
Investing in Steemit is a different story.
Rich people, you will like what I say so open an account, change all your valuta and buy yourself a place under the Steem (sun).
If I still would have had the money, and knew how to buy/add Steem to my wallet, I would have done that long before.
To invest in a platform, to make it successful, good writers aren't needed. A platform doesn't need good readers, intellectuals, scientists or artists to be successful. We see that if it comes to well-known social media. A child (and bot) can open an account, everyone is a writer and shares 'wisdom', bullies, racists, narcissists, nazis, botox and stupid are welcome, and even the dog and goldfish have a voice.
So for an investor, Steemit is... Paradise. The more you invest, the bigger your wallet, the higher the reward!
Elon Musk I am sure you are interested. I mean be serious X isn't all you want in your life. A place on the Steem blockchain is what you desire, planet X with those boring Xians is not exciting enough 24/7.
Just post once in a while, or find yourself a ghostwriter, and you can hop on and off to any planet you like for the rest of your eternal life. I am sure Steemit won't disappoint if you invest your fortune here. Imagine what Bill will say.
Since you asked I am satisfied with 1.5% instead of the 10 communities ask plus with me, we do not burn Steem we let the plebs do that just like we do with the 'safe the world and CO2 nonsense** you can fly in your jet and dump your trash as much and wherever you like. Deal?
Since G7 is in Italy right now investing in Steemit should be on the agenda. We could give each one an account for free with the names G1, G2, G3, G4, G5, G6 and G7. A Steemit delegation already present in Italy can hand it over @ibesso, @pousinha and @italygame happily volunteer.
Ladies and Gentlemen investors the account is for free! Yes, you read it well it's for FREE! I mean be serious what is still for free these days? An extra bonus is that your money is safe with me, I mean with Steemit. Just pretend, show your goodwill and make the @worldsmile, write a few lines (your secretary, chauffeur, partner or dog can do it as well) and you'll see your fortune grows faster than ever before. If you don't believe me ask some whales or witnesses. Don't forget to upvote (this trick works for the wealthy only) you'll be loved, and the entire platform will be your biggest fan and upvote you back.
If it comes to rewarding the average Steemian nothing changed from the day Steemit started. Although, back then it felt like Steemians circled around whales most of the time sliding and begging for an upvote. It worked for a few which is a great strategy if you want to be noticed.
Conclusion
The only way to be successful, to be rewarded for whatever you post on this platform, is if you are an investor!
Do not care about good content, do not waste time on commenting. All you have to do is bet all your money on Steemit. If you do so you can even sleep with your new clothes on like @aminasafdar while your money works for you.

Steemit is a perfect tool for all your Q&As. And for sure Steemit has a great database to help you influence the people and change the world since this is the place where anonymity does not count and approvement of cookies is a joke. You can do as you like since Steemit is open, no one reigns which is a great opportunity for you. Read more if you dare.
I would say: Investing in Steemit is the smartest thing you can do and you should have done it 6 years earlier. Be fast if you want a voice or reign the world. Trust me this platform is addicting.

In 2017, I bumped into ab article written by a Spanish speaking boy (don't know if from Spain or Latin America, as Spanish language is shared into 27 countries, unless I catch the right variant if it appears in the text). He was complaining cause he was earning crumbs. I understood him, as a quality text costs hours, days, weeks of hard job. And during that time, cryptocurrencies still made no sense in my country, as there was no opportunity to exchange them to national currency. So I had joined a platform that paid euros (now that platform is over, as it worsened in 2020 and scammed various users, in any way I was lucky enough to get a discreet payment). In 2022 I joined steemit thanks to an Italian friend I knew in noise.cash. The Italian community is strong enough to discreetly reward, so it's my priority to post there, as I need that money and I have many close friends there. Since a while, I'm in a Latin American community too, as Spanish is my third language, my qualification language and I'm fluent. What are those platforms paying euros? Do they pay to Paypal?

You know already about read cash, noise never worked for me.
We had more platforms and for sure there are way more. I agree it takes a lot of time to write and the rewarding has more to do with the size of your wallet than good content. Daily I read at least 100 posts and those with the hughest rewards are rarely goos. A few lines, one picture only, strange tables, 'contests' quickly posted with bad grammar and so on.
Today I received another reprimand because I set a part of my earnings to @ibesso and my own community (I want to grow it to upvote stories only). I wrote twice a ling comment/answer back but again no answer on the "advice" to not give others a part of my earnings. Not that they are skyhigh before I started to follow the 1001 rules the minimum of each post was around if not above 1$ . So I lost support since that moment.
I did not receive an answer why and noticed the comments are... deleted including mine. 🤔
It will always remain a mystery why I was told not to share. For so far the rewarding of a ghostwriter. 🥺
I must say so far the italian community feels relaxed. It's good to join the no nonsense once in a while even though I am not Italian (most likely one of the last Dutch persons left, it feels like real life. No where home).
Stick to where it feels good for you. I hope you'll join the eerie parents contest dove11 hosts instead of me at the Dream Steem place. Perhaps you can make something up and make me laugh or combine it with a freewrite (just use the tag).

Don't worry, the Italian community (and the Venezuelan communities too) is very welcoming, no mind your nationality. The only desirable thing when posting, is to translate in Italian (or Spanish, in the case of the Latin communities). You can use Deepl Translator free version, that's a bit better than Google translator. I'm sorry for your sad experience elsewhere...
I already had words with a moderator / host of a contest at Venez who hates me for some reason. I asked her why she always attacks me but till today no answer. Most likely it has to do with my article about adoption. I think one should not ask for an opinion if the opiniin should be the same/expected one. So I no longer feel home there and will only join the art contest.
I keep in mind to translate. Deepl let only translate me 1500 words or less once a day unless I oay. I couldn't find much difference in the transkatiins. Both don't seem to be able to tell the difference between male and female, he and she.
What I can't understand I skip or try Steempro Mobile. The app is good but extremely slow on my phone.
It also cannot translate the Italy Magazine. Perhaps too much text, the layout or my slow wifi?
For longer translations and various texts in the same day, you need to sign up with your mail (maybe with your Google account too). I use Deepl to speed up my job (I'm used to then correct all the translator's flaws, as I'm committed to publish perfect texts, at least in the three languages I'm fluent and I try to do the same with English, even if I don't own the same level of Spanish, Portugueses and Italian) and having signed up, I can copy and paste as many texts as I want. You can try to sign up to solve.

Try with Freepik for the picture. I found it's the best for free. Only remember free users can generate only 20 pictures each 24h.

This made me remember when you made myself and someone else beneficiaries to a post then, and they were against it. In my head I was like but that is hers she can choose to do whatever she wants why the babying around attitude, I wanted to comment but when I saw that you already had a full page written like a petition, I smiled and said to myself she is enough for them. Funny thing I didn't really understand how it worked back then, it took me few weeks when I was writing an Achievement to actually see that I got Steems from a post I didn't write, to be honest it made me feel good, knowing people still cared about others despite how they want us to be. Yes, it remembered me too of that time. Next it was about worldsmile and again about rewarding someone else and next ibesso and my own community. Why should I write more posts than I already do? Why announce everything it spoils my texts. It's good to know you would have grabbed your pen to reply if I hadn't wrote my epistel. 😉
Even I am scammed isn't it up to me who I give my earnings to? I am not robbing a bank and no one robbed me or asked for it. So far a spontaneity.

That's crazy, whatever one chooses to do with what is theirs should be their business and if the platform suspect scam then ask simple reaffirming questions to be sure the user is alright

You have perfectly explained these things in details but my biggest fear is if these trend continues where this platform didn't favour writers but only investors, hope it will not pursue away potential users in the future. Take for example I, for the past 1 week, I have taken my quality time to make quality post but none of them have been rewarded when it comes to tangible upvotes.
It is really frustrating I must confess and what is still holding me on this platform is the fact that I am not a newbie. The truth is not every newbie might actually be able to handle the pressure of the fustration of not been rewarded for your valuable and quality content you created compared to low content that is rewarded massively
I can relate.
When i was a newbie i participated in an engagement challenge with no club(actually i was in club5050 but due to some technicalities my tag was removed).
I wrote a tech article, researched it thoroughly to understand about crypto and blockchain (and the fact that i have no tech background). It was a milestone for me to even understand and write about it.
However, they gave me i guess 1 or 0 /10 in my assessment, just because i wasn't in any club.
It was so heartbreaking for me, from that day on i find participating in any engagement challenge only burdensome:(
But i love steemit becuase it has given me a platform to interact with any person, to explore different cultures, and have a friend like you who is in another continent.
Reading articles of intellectual people is something i will always be grateful for👐

I have a reprimand of a moderator frequently and if I ask how or what I am ignored.
The 0/10 is childish and it feels to me it isn't based on how or what you write. Each moderator has his own rules.
If you like a tooic write about it. There's no need to post in the community but you can still use one of the tags. I learned joining the mass doesn't mean I am read more even if I upvote and comment over 60 out out of 104 entries. How many idiots are doing that?
I noticed newbies with high upvotes from their very first post on. @yaladeeds is not one of them. Today I asked what the benefit of all those achievements is. Let's be honest many of us will never use or need it and if it brings nothing.

The discussion I had with a moderator yesterday, well he changed/edited his comment and I could no longer find it back including my answer and questions. Ibesso did respond but it never showed with me. I noticed it as I checked his comments and there the complete threat is shown. Isn't that weird?
It is very bad for a newbie to develop the mindset of making money in steemit during the person first three months on steemit. What you have said, concerning reading of post is the truth, as most users find it difficult to read post from A - Z. Most people whose motivate of joining steemit is for the money have stopped posting. It is nice to read your post. I wish you success.
It indeed is difficult to read from A- Z and posts that need to be translated will be skipped.
It's not only hard for newbies since they just arrived. Bitter and frustrating it is for all those joining since many years and seeing "everyone" collecting one dolphin after the next.
It would be a good thing if the word wouldn't spread it's easy to generate an income here. Besides of the fact they want you to invest not use the Steem and run.
I read some entries where the writer said it's a learning platform and a place to make friends. This is a better description although a part of those I met during the past three months already are out of sight.
If a good reward is given it's a plus and if not needed it's easier to power up.

The Thing about reading is that is it not a hobby for many and it is for many also, so the ones that don't read much just try to read important stuffs and move on ignoring other aspect of the post while others, have other post they intend to engage so they can vote and comment just to encourage the writter as everyday is not the same, one day we are great and active and the next just struggling and trying to catch up with life and it ever moving time. For me, if the post is long and my lovelies are around, be sure I will read just few paragraphs and leave but I will always want to drop a comment too, so I might pick a line that interest me and quote while I drop my little concern or contribution. It's fine if you do not read every single word. It is the problem with most longer posts, just written because of the word count, it is not interesting at all. Also if it's written in paragraphs you will read the entire story if you read a few lines of each paragraph. Did you notice that? Some posts I read more than once before I answer. It's not always easy to give a comment.
